old Florida fishing village, Punta Gorda is ranked the "2nd Hottest

Bizjournal study. Punta Gorda is located on the southern shores of
Charlotte Harbor, approx. 40 miles south of Sarasota, Punta Gorda still
exudes that small town feel and charm of old Florida with all the modern
conveniences. Punta Gorda is also one of Florida's premier eco-tourism
destinations. Punta Gorda is ranked by Golf Digest as the "3rd Best
City" to live in and play golf.
PUNTA GORDA: Our vacation Paradise Home located in the "BIRD
SECTION" of The Punta Gorda Isles [PGI] deed restricted community
and is listed as one of Sail Magazine's "10 Greatest Places to
Sail". Charlotte Harbor and the surrounding Gulf Islands
offers world class boating, fishing & sailing many days of the year
for your family's enjoyment.
GREAT LOCATION: Our vacation home is one hour north of NAPLES and
1/2 an hour south of the VENICE-SARASOTA Area. Busch Gardens in TAMPA is
less than 2 hrs away. Unlimited shopping, antiquing, and cultural
activities are available within Punta Gorda -Port Charlotte Area.
GOLF: Closest to your vacation home is a private golf course, St.
Andrews South Country Club & Golf course, less than a 10 minute walk
from your vacation home. Long term guests can obtain
memberships. There are also over two dozen clubs in the area for
the public to play on.
RENTAL CARS:OR PVT CAR SERVICE: Enterprise and Hertz are located
on Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda. Enterprise has a free pick up
service. If you prefer to have your own car, several transport companies
will drive it down for you. All major rental cars are at the
airport. For those who desire personal service of a chauffeur
Charlotte Pvt. Car service is available 24/7.
SHOPPING: Less than 10 minutes to Fisherman's Village and lots of
charming local shops in town or many major shopping malls about a half
hour drive. Several Grocery Stores, Drug Stores, Banks, Wal-Mart and
Home Depot within 2-5 miles.
BOATING: Bring your own power or sail boat or rent one nearby.
Your pvt. dock is just steps outside your vacation home on the
canal. Only a 45 minute boat ride [NO WAKE ZONES-STRICTLY
ENFORCED] between up-scale homes on the canal system of PGI to the
harbor and the Gulf of Mexico.
AIRPORTS: Less than 45 minutes to Regional South West Airport (RSW)
in Fort Myers or 1 hour to Sarasota Airport [SAR] and 45 minutes more to
the Tampa International Airport (TPA).
RESTAURANTS: Fisherman's village and lots of great restaurants in
